Recent graduates of the Practical Nursing program on 91视频鈥檚 Scooba campus had a 100 percent pass rate for the National Council Licensure Examination, or NCLEX-PN. Students must pass the test to receive their nursing license.
The Scooba campus鈥 Class of 2024 Practical Nursing students graduated in December of last year and took the NCLEX in January and February of this year. The test results were recently made available.
The 2024 graduates include Conswella Brantley, Jaiden Clemons, Ariel Coburn, Anq鈥橴nesha Cox, Treasure Davis, Dy鈥橰ekia Dooley, Tyrechia Ivory, Brandi May, Brittany Miller and Carmen Scarbrough.
鈥淲e could not be prouder of our students,鈥 Director of Nursing Programs| Associate Dean of Health Sciences Jamonicia Johnson said. 鈥淲e have wonderful instructors in our nursing programs at EMCC but the students still must put in the work. They rose to the challenge and excelled despite a rigorous curriculum.鈥
The 22 students of the Practical Nursing program on EMCC鈥檚 Golden Triangle campus who graduated in July of last year also earned a 100 percent pass rate on the NCLEX.
Students took the test at Pearson Vue, an approved testing center, with locations in Jackson and Tupelo. Forty-two states in the U.S. are part of a compact of states that utilize the NCLEX-PN and students who pass the test are licensed to practice in any of those states.
Practical Nursing instructors on EMCC鈥檚 Scooba campus are Princess Dawkins, Chiquita Jones and Dyshone Robbins. Golden Triangle campus Practical Nursing instructors are Jemecia Arnold, Reginald Askew and Michelle Melton.
