Four 91视频 students have been named to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society鈥檚 All-Mississippi Academic Team and will receive medallions and certificates. Nominations are based on academic performance and service to the college and community.
Team members from the Eta Upsilon chapter of PTK on EMCC鈥檚 Scooba campus are Latia Powe and Isabella Temple. Members from the Beta Iota Zeta chapter of PTK on the college鈥檚 Golden Triangle campus are Anna Borst and Jay Hilfiker.
SCOOBA CAMPUS
LATIA POWE
Latia Powe of Meridian graduated from EMCC in December with Magna Cum Laude honors. She made the President鈥檚 List for the three semesters she attended EMCC. Powe was a student ambassador on our Scooba campus and a member of PTK. She is currently majoring in Business and Marketing at the University of West Alabama.
ISABELLA TEMPLE
Isabella Temple of Meridian is a sophomore on EMCC鈥檚 Scooba campus who will graduate this May. She is the co-president of the Scooba chapter of PTK, vice president of the Scooba Student Government Association and the captain of the Mighty Lion Band鈥檚 Color Guard. Temple is also a student ambassador, a resident assistant, a peer mentor and a member of the choir and theater. She plans to attend Mississippi State University after graduating from EMCC to study Public Relations.
GOLDEN TRIANGLE CAMPUS
ANNA BORST
Anna Borst of Montpelier is a sophomore on EMCC鈥檚 Golden Triangle campus. She is the vice president of fellowship for the Golden Triangle PTK, president of the Golden Triangle Student Ambassadors and secretary for that campus鈥 Student Government Association. She is also a student recruiter, an orientation leader and a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. She was selected as the 2024 Homecoming Queen for EMCC鈥檚 Golden Triangle campus. Borst was also named as a 2025 PTK Coca-Cola Academic Team Silver Scholar. She plans to attend Mississippi University for Women to continue studies needed to become an elementary education teacher.
JAY HILFIKER
Jay Hilfiker of Caledonia is president of the PTK chapter on EMCC鈥檚 Golden Triangle campus. He will graduate from EMCC in May and plans to continue his studies at Mississippi State University to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in management.
